GLAMET

GLAMET - Directed by: Kelly Yardley, Emily Deane and Chelsea Thompson.

Tragic Flaw

Will:
(aside) "Uhh, I'm so disappointed in myself. I should have known the Glee Club would be penalized for making the mattress commercial. If I was more aware of the guidelines, this would have never happened. The blame should entirely be on me ..."
*Emma approaches Will
Emma: "Will, I.. I have a suggestion. (Pause) I want to take the kids to Sectionals."
Will: (shocked) "What? Really?! ... I don't know what ... are... are you sure about this Emma?"
Emma: "Absolutely positive. I know how much this means to you and the kids."
Will: "Exactly! And that is why I am so upset with myself. I let the kids down, all because I wasn't being cautious about the rules. I'm such an idiot..."
Emma: "Will, don't be too hard on yourself. This isn't your fault. Let me take the kids and everything will work out."

Foreshadowing

Picture 1
Rachel: (inner thought) "Thank god Finn finally joined Glee, he is such an amazing musician. Is this honestly happening to me? Can I, Rachel Berry, actually be singing with him -- the same song, the same stage?! Someone please pinch me!"
Finn: (inner thought) "Wow, her voice is incredible. This is actually pretty cool. Uhh, but what are the guys going to think? I hope I don't get crap for it..."

Picture 2
Finn: "Dude, knock it off, you don't even know what it's like. If you throw that slushy on me, I will slam your head off my knee. "
Jerk: "Oh, I'd like to see that. And, yeah, you're right. I don't know what it's like to be in the GEEK club. You totally set yourself up for this Finn."

Truth

Rachel: "Hey Finn, how is your day going?"
Finn: "Oh, pretty good..."
Rachel: (cutting in) "Are you sure?"
Finn: "Yeah... ?"
Rachel: "Finn, okay. Do you know that feeling when you see a friend suffering, and you just want to walk up to them and tell them what's really going on?"
Finn: "I guess..."
Rachel: "I have something to tell you ... it's about Quinn's baby."
Finn: "I know, trust me, I will get the money to her soon... I have been thinking about it nonstop."
Rachel: "No, Finn, you don't understand. (Sighs) I am just going to flat out say it... you aren't the father."

Allusion

- After Sectionals, the Glee Club sings to Will "My Life Would Suck Without You" by Kelly Clarkson. The Glee Club used this allusion to display their emotions and appreciation for Will as a director. This song also relates to Will's feelings towards Emma. Throughout the season, Glee preforms songs with lyrics that pertain to their life situations.

Dramatic Irony

Will: "I know honey but sectionals are coming up and I know the kids can do extraordinary with just the perfect song."
Terri: "But Will, I'm your wife! Your pregnant wife actually. My back hurts, my feet are sore and I just want you to stop worrying about the kids for once and think about me."
Will: "Okay well how 'bout I come upstairs and rub your back for a few minutes and then I will get back to work? How's that sound?"
Terri: "How's that sound? It sounds like you need to get your priorities straight..."

Solioquy

Sue: (inner thoughts) "Ugh, Will Schuester and that Emma - disgusting! I will destroy Will and the Glee Club! But how? I know...I will work from the inside out - his wife Terri. My Cherrios are the only worthy group of people in this school. That Glee, or Geek, Club is just an embarrassment to my reputation - even though I'm not involved. All I want to do is destroy Will and his career. Sue Sylvester is back on her game."

Sue: (inner thought) "So the date last night with that guy was great... but I have this strange feeling inside me. Like a nice feeling... (epiphany)... I'm in love. After one date. Sue Sylvester is in love. But not like that weak Will or childish Emma... like a strong, independent women. I will tell him tonight, I am prepared to get married... but he must know my rules."
